The FAROBÉ table

 

Claude and Christian are committed to sharing with their guests a simple and authentic cuisine by favoring fresh products from local production as far as possible.

 

Breakfast

​

At daybreak, the Vendée heart is honoured; it figures prominently on breakfast dishes. This comes directly from the Nistar earthenware factory, a family business based in Saint-Gilles Croix de Vie since 1937.

​

On the table :

  • hot or cold drinks: milk, chocolate, tea, coffee, artisanal fruit juice

  • a homemade cake, toast, waste or Vendée brioche

  • soft butter, homemade apricot jams but also mint peach, ginger watermelon, green tomatoes, etc…

  • natural yoghurt

 

Dinner (by reservation):

​

Concocted jointly by Claude and Christian, it is composed as follows:

  • the aperitif: the troussepinette with black thorn plain or flavored with red fruits, peaches, angelica, etc..... accompanied by garlic prefou or sardine rillettes from Saint-Gilles Croix of life

  • the starter: Vendée fish soup but also carrot soup with cumin, beetroot soup with apple, cucumber soup with mint, etc….

  • the dish: grilled Vendée ham and its mojettes but also duck breast and peaches, Challans poultry and its apples, fressure and its potatoes flavored with bay leaf, etc….

  • the homemade dessert: chocolate mousse, kiwi flan, tiramisu, apple-speculoos verrine, blackberry crumble, etc….

  • coffee, infusion

The dinner is accompanied by a Bord de Mer wine, red or white from the Pajot cellar located in Brem sur Mer.
